Press the Select button twice to select and execute the online function. If you have a damaged cartridge, substitute a back-up version of the data from another cartridge.
Hold the cartridge with the smooth side on top and the leader block toward the drive. Once the cartridge is ejected, you can remove it from the tape drive.
Press the Unload button to unload any tape cartridge that was in the transport when the power went off. Place the tape drive online if necessary. Press and release the Ready button. Page Handle Cartridge Tapes Do not write on a label that is on a cartridge. If you want to change a label, fill out a new one, remove the old one, and replace it with the new one.
Use the recessed areas provided for them. When you want a new label on a cartridge, remove the old one before you put on a new one. LED indicator 2. Door 3. The door opens partially. Manually open the door completely. Insert the cartridge into the feed slot with the label facing to the left.
Before inserting a floppy disk into the floppy disk drive, check that the lever is in the open vertical position. Insert the floppy disk label side left until the jacket is solidly against the stops.

Page Transparencies Causes or cancels the use of transparencies in the next print job. Once the job has printed, the transparency control returns to the coding in the job stream. Note: Changes made in the Trannsparencies window are not reflected when the widow is reopened. Apply your selection and close the window. Note: You must still ensure that either transparency or regular stock is loaded in the appropriate feeder trays.
In the printer mimic of the Printer Status window, select the down arrow on the tray or bin you want to lower. Page Set Container Size Any subsequent pages after the first sheet must be within 25 mm on each dimension of the first sheet. The following table shows the default size for each container.

Select the Find header button to search for a specific file. Find window — Enter the name of the file you want to locate. You may set the tape density to either default setting or bpi. The format is file- name. Page Delete Use this task to review files residing on the system disk. Specified files are displayed one at a time, with the options to delete the file, skip the file, or end the review process.
After a file is renamed, the old file name is deleted from the file directory. Page Scale Figure Scale window Use this task to scale spi fonts, forms, and logos to their spi equivalents. You must provide an input spi file specification and an output spi file specification. The activities described here are essential to maintain system reliability and productivity.
The dry ink cartridge of the MX systems is red, and the dispenser is keyed to prevent the installation of the wrong type of dry ink. Move the green handle to the right the unlatched position to release the cartridge and lid. Unlatching the dry ink cartridge 5. Remove the empty cartridge and discard it. Turn a new, full cartridge of dry ink upside down and shake it well to loosen the contents thoroughly.
Page If this does not remove the ink immediately, launder with detergent and cold water. Dry cleaners should be told that the spot is dry ink for a printer, so they will not use a solvent that sets the stain.
Open the right and left doors of the printer and locate the dry ink waste container. Be sure to wash your hands with soap and water after you finish this procedure.
Follow this procedure to add fuser agent: 1. Page 8. Carefully pour the fuser agent into the reservoir, until the level reaches the MAX line. Page 32 and 40 sheets. Since the sheets must be processed continuously, you may want to run 45 test pages in order to clear the message from the system unless the current print job contains at least 40 pages.
Open the printer right and left doors and locate area 4. Raise the area 4 green handle until it locks into place. Lower the area 4 green handle. Close the printer doors. Cleaning the Q sensor and mirror Follow this procedure when directed by the Xerox Customer Support Center personnel. Open the right and left doors of the printer and locate the Q sensor.
