Clinical Education Program The Clinical Education Program assists in the enhancement of staff competencies in professional development to improve their overall capacity to support children and families with mental health issues.

Preschool Day Program : Ages 4 and 5. The Preschool Day Program is for children who are experiencing severe challenges managing their emotions and behaviour, such that they have been unable to participate meaningfully in their community school. Psychological Assessment and Consultation PAC The Psychological Assessment and Consultation team offers testing for children with learning difficulties or other mental health concerns that are undiagnosed.

Rehabilitation Services. Rehabilitation Services is for children with a developmental delay or other undiagnosed developmental concern. This specialized program is designed to promote healthy attachment between children and caregivers. CGT provides consultation, education, training, and coaching to mental health professionals in the rural regions of Northern and East Central Alberta.

The Violence Prevention and Intervention Program consists of two main components: Domestic Violence Intervention DVI Domestic violence is a pattern of behaviors used by one person towards their partner to maintain power and control. Examples of abuse include: Verbal name-calling or put-downs Keeping a partner from contacting their family or friends Withholding money Stopping a partner from getting or keeping a job Actual or threatened physical harm Sexual assault Stalking Intimidation If you are being abused, please remember it is not your fault.

Counseling in this program focuses on several things: Education and support related to the dynamics and effects of abuse Crisis intervention Sorting out feelings like confusion, sadness, fear, anger, and helplessness Implementation of safety planning and support Assistance with obtaining resources, such as housing, legal assistance, therapy, and more Counseling for domestic violence survivors includes a focus on the safety needs of survivors and their families.
